This year we will celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi (The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ) this Sunday, June 19th. We usually have a Holy Hour on this day; however, this year Corpus Christi coincides with the celebration of Father’s Day.
Therefore, in lieu of a Holy Hour, there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament beginning at the end of the 5PM Mass this Saturday, June 18th, continuing all night until 8:45AM this Sunday, June 19th. There will be Benediction and Reposition of the Blessed Sacrament beginning at 8:45AM, ending about five minutes before the 9AM Mass this Sunday, June 19th.
We are called to abide in the Eucharistic Presence of our Lord, like the Saints and Angels do in Heaven, as they behold the Glory of God, and sing His Praise! The Saints and Angels wait upon the Lord, and do His Will in all things. Their presence magnifies the Lord. They also intercede for us before the Lord.
