Through prayerful reflection, the Spiritual Life Commission, guided by the Holy Spirit, will promote and foster the growth of spirituality in our Parish community. The Spiritual Life Commission both affirms and promotes the multitude of opportunities for spiritual growth already existing in our Parish, or in the Archdiocese, finding ways to enrich the spiritual lives of all parishioners.

Altar Servers
Altar Servers assist the Priest and the worshiping community in the celebration of the Eucharist. Servers are boys and girls from the 5th Grade and up. Adult Altar Servers assist with funerals. If interested click here for more information. For Altar Server's Schedule, click here.

Art and Environment
This ministry prepares the worship space for Mass and other liturgies. They decorate the Church for the different Church seasons.

Baptisms/Baptismal Preparation Class
Baptisms are always held on the 1st Sunday of the month at 12:15 after the 11 a.m. Mass in the Church. The parents must also attend a Baptismal Preparation Class which is held on the 2nd Sunday of every month at 12:15 p.m. in Church. Contact the Rectory to make arrangements for the Baptismal Class and Baptism. (847) 872-8778.

Bereavement Committee
Members of this ministry assist the Priest by meeting with the families and helping them select the Scripture Readings and music for the funeral.

Bible Study
We have various Bible Study sessions during the year for all interested in spiritual and educational growth based on the latest study programs.

Communion Services
Communion Services are held on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m.

Eucharistic Adoration
Each week an opportunity for Eucharistic Adoration is offered on Thursdays from 2 until 6 p.m. in the Church.

Eucharistic Ministers
Ministers assist the Priest in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass. Ministers must be at least 18 years of age. Click here for schedule.

Greeters
Greeters welcome visitors, newcomers, and regular parishioners with warmth, openness and hospitality to God’s house.

Holy Hours
Holy Hours are held on select Sunday afternoons and evenings.

Lectors
The Lector proclaims the Word of God through reading the Scripture at Mass. For Lector schedule, click here.

Legion of Mary
This ministry is a lay Catholic organization at the service of the Church, under ecclesiastical guidance. The group’s twofold purpose is the spiritual development of its members and advancing the reign of Christ through Our Lady. This ministry gives the opportunity to all interested to enhance their relationship with our Mother Mary and to extend the spirit of the Catholic faith through prayer and active Spiritual Works of Mercy. This group meets weekly for prayer, study and discussion.

Liturgy of the Word
Children ages four through seven are dismissed to hear the Sunday readings that mirror the Liturgy of the Word in Mass on a child’s level. Do you want to know more? Click here.

Ministers of Care
The Ministers of Care ministry visits and brings the Eucharist to the homebound, those in hospitals, and nursing homes.

Music Ministries
We have several very active choirs incorporating various styles of music for worship. The ministry welcomes singers as well as instrumentalists. - Joyful Hearts Choir – Saturday at the 5 p.m. Mass – Practices are on Wednesday nights - Early Risers Choir with Organist – 7 a.m. Mass - Folk Group Choir – 9 a.m. Mass – Practices prior to Mass - Chorus of Faith Choir – 11 a.m. Mass – Practices are on Wednesday nights. If you are interested, click here

Quiceanera Classes
The family must call the Rectory nine months prior to setting a date. The young lady and her family must be registered parishioners. The young lady must be Confirmed and attend Quinceanera Classes.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults/Adult Faith Formation
Our RCIA Program is a group of volunteers who go through the Sacrament process with adults who are interested in obtaining their Sacraments. The adults either need to be baptized, receive First Holy Communion, or need to be confirmed. They meet weekly on Monday evenings to learn about our faith. A group of volunteers go through the process with them, to teach them about our faith, and to answer any questions they may have. They are dismissed from Mass every Sunday after the homily, and they gather in the Hayes Community Room to go over the readings. During the year, they receive certain Rites during Mass, and at the Easter Vigil they receive all of their Sacraments that they have been studying and preparing for.

Sacristans
Care of the Sanctuary is the responsibility of the Sacristans including care of altar linens and related tasks.

Ushers
Ushers are called to welcome and assist all who join us for worship.  They assist in seating or
meeting the special needs of people, facilitate the presentation of the bread and wine, and take up the collection.

Wake Services
Wake Services are usually held at the Funeral Home or in the Church. Deacons or Priests preside at the Wake Service.
